Evelyn L. Mertz, 86, of Bluffton, passed away at 9:33 p.m on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born on Friday, June 19, 1936, in Poasttown, Ohio. She married Roger Mertz on Monday, June 19, 1989. Evelyn was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Carlisle, Ohio. She worked at Andy's Tavern, Geneva, EPC, Geneva, and retired from Franklin Electric, Bluffton. Evelyn enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, coloring, loved going on drives and site seeing, and going to the coast to set and watch the waves and take naps.
She will be sadly missed by her Daughters; Rhonda (Bill) Moser, rural Geneva, Wanda (Edwin) Jack, Bluffton, step son; Michael (Cyndi) Nelson, Covington, grandchildren; Maria Bailey, Craigville, Leon Moser, Rural Geneva, Steven Moser, Oregon, Evie Lane, Arizona, Darian Lane, Carmel, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Warmoth, mother, Helen (Mobley) Warmoth, husband, Roger Mertz, and daughter, Lillian Lane.
There will be no calling or services.
