
Jack Lynn Bentley, 74, a lifetime resident of Jefferson Township, Warren, passed away at his home on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022. Jack was born in Huntington, on Aug. 26, 1948, to George W. and Helen Fern (Amsden) Bentley. He married Margaret (Hoover) Bentley on Aug. 11, 1967, at Jefferson United Methodist Church. Jack purchased the family home place, where he enjoyed tending to the farm. He worked at Memcor shortly after school, before he was drafted in the United States Army, and retired from United Technologies after several years of service. Jack loved to fish, especially at the lake home. He enjoyed exploring and hiking in the woods with his dog Gus by his side. He was a huge supporter of his grandchildren and loved going to all of their sporting events.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Helen Fern Bentley.
Loving survivors include his wife, Margaret Bentley of Warren, daughter, Lisa (Dale) McCune of Markle, son, Jeff (Chandra) Bentley of Bargersville, daughter, Stacy Wiley of Huntington, grandchildren, Ashton (Rebecca) McCune, Dylan McCune of Markle, Cody McCune of Markle, Addy Wiley of Huntington, Libby Wiley of Huntington, Graham Bentley and Finley Bentley, of Bargersville, great grandchild, Saylor, sister, Betty Zimmerman of Warren, sister, Mary B. McCoy of Huntington, and brother J.R. (Jean) Bentley of Warren.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Solid Rock UMC located at 485 Bennett Dr. Warren, Indiana 46792, on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, from 2 to 7 p.m. and again on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, from 10 to 11a.m. A funeral service will begin at 11a.m. with Pastor John Boyanowski officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington.
