David L. Sharpe, 67, of Montpelier, passed away at 2:42 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 at his home in Montpelier. He was born on Monday, March 14, 1955, in Wells County. David attended Southern Wells High School. He lived his early years in Southern Wells before moving to Montpelier. David worked at Franklin Electric and for McCammon Trucking for 46 years. He enjoyed racing cars, riding his Harley Davidson, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He and his brother John built a tractor and enjoyed watching and participating in tractor pulls.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Rhonda Kershner of Montpelier, Angie Sharpe of North Port, Florida, grandchildren, Felicia Baxter of Wabash, Tyler Sharpe of Bluffton, Marissa Kershner of Bluffton, great grandson, Brysen Sharpe of North Port, Florida, sister, Sherry Heron of Montpelier, and brother, John Heron of Liberty Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nile A. Sharpe, mother, Elizabeth Justine (Brickley) Heron, great granddaughter, Harper Steed, and brother, Mike Brickley.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be no services.
