Ronald “Ron” Roush

Ronald “Ron” Roush, 78 of Van Buren, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at his home in Van Buren.

Ron was born on July 2, 1944 to Levart and Nellie (Endsley) Roush in Marion. He graduated from Jackson Center School in 1962. He married Gwendolyn Endsley on March 7, 1965, at the United Methodist Church in Van Buren. Ron served his country in the United States Army where he served in Korea. He attended Engineering School and worked as an Engineer for Equipment Maintenance from 1964-1966. From an early age Ron had a love for farming. Farming became his lifelong passion, where he established Roush Farms in 1965.  His love for farming was passed down to his sons and grandson who joined the family farm. Ron enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Levart and Nellie Roush, brother, Philip Roush, and father and mother-in-law, Thurlow & Delores Endsley.

Loving survivors include his wife of 57 years, Gwendolyn Roush, sons, Troy (Stacy) Roush, Todd (Nikki) Roush, and Tony (Shauna) Roush, grandchildren, Alexus (Fiancee Malijah Foust) Roush, Krista (Nick) Chapel, Kari Roush, Thomas Todd (Rachel) Roush, Anna Roush, and Logen Roush, great grandchildren, Maeson, Mari, McKensie, Cayson, Easton, Endsley, Quinn, siblings, James “Jim” (Sharon) Roush, Melvin (Betty) Roush, Rick (Sherryl) Roush, sister in law, Jane (Mic) Roush, and daughter in law, Donna Holt.

Friends and Family may gather to share and remember at the Roush Family Farm Shop Building located at 6256 N. 1000 E. Van Buren, IN. 46991 on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. Military rites will be conducted by the US Army at 4 p.m.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
