Corinne Denise (Clark) Tucker, 66, of Roanoke, went into the loving arms of her Savior on the 26th of Dec., surrounded by her family after a year-long illness.
Corinne was born on Sept. 21, 1956, in Huntington to Don and Betty (Reemer) Clark. Corinne resided the majority of her adult life in Roanoke, where she and her husband, David, built a beautiful family and life together. They were married on Oct. 29, 1977, at Seminary Church in Roanoke. After their union, they had their children, Matthew and Sarah, that they created a wonderful childhood for.
The life and legacy that Corinne leaves behind is one that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her heart. She was an ever-present, fun-loving, attentive mother and grandmother. Her love and light will be greatly missed but will carry everyone through this difficult time. Her children wanted to thank her and their father for the beautiful, lifelong example of what it means to be there for each other as a husband and wife, to be a good friend, to be a good parent, and to contribute to those around you no matter what your own circumstances may be.
Corinne worked at Abacus Childcare in Fort Wayne, as a preschool teacher for 22 years, where she made lifelong friends that became family for her. She retired in June of 2021.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David Tucker of Roanoke, her son Matthew (Joy) Tucker of Tomball, Texas, her daughter Sarah (Ryan) Smith, of Roanoke, and her brother David Clark of Paradise Valley, Arizona. Along with a host of family and friends that love her, she is also survived by her beloved grandchildren; Dawson, Madison, Paxton, Carter, Alex, and Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Betty Clark, her brother, Stanley Clark, and her grandson, Clayton Tucker.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
