Jerry W. Harvey

Jerry W. Harvey, 81, of Huntington, passed away on Dec. 29, 2022 at Markle Health and Rehab. Jerry graduated from Andrews High School. After high school he served his country in the United States Army. Jerry worked as a police officer for the city of Huntington for 44 years. He retired with the rank of Captain. He later worked as a bailiff for the Huntington County Courthouse. Jerry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Police Athletic League, the Huntington Masonic Lodge and the Huntington Shriners. Jerry loved the outdoors and enjoyed taking care of his landscaping and property.

Jerry was born on June 28, 1941 in Bippus, the son of the late Charles and Katherine (Felton) Harvey.

He was united in marriage to Mary Cripe on Aug. 6, 1966 in Huntington. His wife survives.

Additional Survivors include a son: Scott (Leigh) Harvey of Huntington; two granddaughters: Peyton Harvey of Skokie Illinois, and Reagan Harvey of Huntington.

He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Harvey Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday Jan. 4, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Jan. 4, 2022 at noon at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery
