Kimberly J. Stephey-Ellis, 65, of Huntington, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at 11:13 am Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at her home.
Kimberly was born on Dec. 19, 1957, in Huntington, the daughter of Alton Stephey and Dorothy (Budruweit) Stephey. She attended Huntington High School. Kimberly was a self-employed independent contractor. She was a skilled drywall finisher and a residential painter. Some of her artwork is displayed on a few of the fire hydrants located in downtown Huntington.
Kimberly enjoyed going fishing, being outdoors in the sun, and baking cakes for special occasions. She was a talented artist and was passionate about painting with watercolors or acrylic paints. Kimberly made friends wherever she went and always put others first. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Kimberly loved to be playful with her grandchildren, spoiling them with sweet treats, allowing them to paint her nails and call her “Grandma Tom” (a nickname that was given to her by her son at a young age). Kimberly’s heart had no limits, she loved everyone and was a faithful servant, lifting others up by saying “May God shine a light bright on you”.
