
Shirley “Jean” Breidert, 80 of Fort Wayne, passed away at her home on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
Jean was born on Oct. 7, 1942, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to George and Delia (Branson) York. She married Robert Breidert on Aug. 3, 1968, in Fort Wayne. Jean and her husband Bob were members of the North Ridge Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. Jean was a legal secretary and had worked for the public defender’s office in Florida. She liked to cook for her large family and play hide and seek with her grandchildren. Jean was a deal hunter and enjoyed shopping. She had an amazing personality and was friendly, loving, and kind to everyone she met. Her dearest loved ones will never forget her courage, strength, and grit. Jean’s love of her family and friends was immeasurable.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, George and Delia York, an infant sibling, three brothers and two sisters.
Loving survivors include her husband of 54 years, Robert Breidert, daughter, Jill (Rob) Einerwold, son, Kenneth (Tammy) Frazier, son, Gregory (Jina) Graham, daughter, Teri (Jim) Brown, son, Len Breidert, son, Bradley Breidert, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, brother, Earl (Betty) York, and sisters, Wanda McCue and Mary Lee Zell.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember at North Ridge Baptist Church, located at 1300 E. Cook Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, from 10 to 11a.m. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Green officiating.
