Jane A. Ruble, 87 of Warren, passed away on Monday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2023, at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Jane was born in Van Wert, Ohio on May 2, 1935, to the late Maurice W. & Marie June (Laymon) Hoover. Jane graduated in 1953 from Warren High School. Shortly after high school she married her high school sweetheart and classmate, David A. Ruble, on April 18, 1954, in the Warren United Methodist Church. Jane was a graduate of Ball State University earning her bachelors and master’s degree in education. She taught and retired from Lancaster Elementary school in Huntington County. After retirement she started helping her husband on their family farm. Jane enjoyed volunteering for the Huntington County Literacy Coalition, teaching Sunday school, and working with the Huntington County Associated Churches, “By the Book” program. Jane enjoyed crafting, reading, gardening, and traveling. She was a member of Emmanuel Community Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David A. Ruble who passed on Sept. 25, 2016, and brother Jim Hoover.
Loving survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Steve) Darnell, Diane (Joe) Begley, Susan (Russ) Denstorff, and Nancy (Steve) Tumbleson, grandchildren, Bruce Darnell, Mike (Paige) Darnell, Josanne (Robby) Aungst, Jayanna (Andrew) Capite, Jason (Kara) Bowman, Jeffrey (Jules) Bowman, Amanda (Bill) Russo, Stephanie (Eddie) Wielosinski, Eric (Bre) Tumbleson, and 18 great grandchildren.
Friends and family may gather to visit at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home located at 203 N. Matilda St. Warren, IN 46792, on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, from 1 to 5 p.m. and again on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, from 9 to 10 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with Pastor Gary Dilley officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.
