Donald L. Dinius, 79, of Huntington, passed away at 11:30 am Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Maple Park Village, Westfield, IN.
Donald was born on December 20, 1943 in Huntington, IN, the son of Earl Dinius and Ruby (Grace) Dinius. He graduated from Huntington High School and married Shirley Cosart on August 18. 1963 in Huntington, IN. He retired as a Tool and Die Designer from Dura Corp and worked as an Engineer for 45+ years. Donald attended the Church of the Nazarene and he enjoyed golfing, sailing, going to the shooting range, and his HAM radio. Donald also loved to watch old western TV shows, and going out to breakfast with his guy friends from church every Tuesday. He also rescued a couple of greyhound dogs.
Survivors include his Wife, Shirley Dinius of Huntington, IN; Two Sons, Mark (Wendy) Dinius of Majenica, IN, Kent (Laura) Dinius of Noblesville, IN; Two Daughters, Laura Dinius of FL, Jill (Kurt) Winkelman of Noblesville, IN; Two Sisters, Becky (Kevin) Yarger of Fort Wayne, IN, Connie (Greg) Buchholtz of Minster, OH; and his Ten Grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Abby, Zoe, Brooke, Evan, Isabel, Henry, Charlie, and Ollie. He is preceded in death by his Father, Earl Dinius, Mother, Ruby Fredricks, and his granddaughter, Amy.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Chaplain Chuck Koenemann officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
