Linda V. Thomas

 

Linda V. Thomas, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, February 1st, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born July 30th, 1956, to Wayne and Ruth Shady. She attended Norwell High School and graduated in 1974. She married Mark Thomas on December 11, 1977. Later, she attended Huntington College and was part of the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1996 with a double major in Psychology and Bible and Religion.

Linda attended Murray Missionary Church where she was an active member and taught many Bible classes over the years. She also enjoyed photography, reading, studying the Bible, gardening, playing games, and spending time with family.

Linda is survived by her husband, Mark Thomas, and her four daughters, Heather (Mike) Palmer of New Haven, Toni (Carl) Cook of Uniondale, Kristi (Logan) Drillien of Huntington, and Sarah (Andrew) Stuck of Murray. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Brenden, Aubrey, Eli, Lena, Grady, Stella, Tommy, Avy, Whittaker, Gracelynn, and Camille. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Shady.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Murray Missionary Church on Saturday, February 11th, at 2 PM, which is located at 1117 N Washington St, Bluffton, IN 46714.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter, a ministry close to her heart. She took her whole family to the museum one year for Christmas and visited both multiple other times, some with her grandchildren. To give, please go to www.answersingenesis.org/donate
