Joan Haley, 92, of Andrews, passed away at 11:14 am Monday, January 30, 2023, at her farm.
Joan was born on May 18, 1930, in Andrews, IN, the daughter of Lowell Haley and Hazel (Cramer) Haley. She graduated from Andrews High School with the class of 1949 and attended Manchester College. Joan worked for General Telephone in bookkeeping for 17 years before returning to help her family run the farm. She enjoyed mushroom hunting and gardening on the family farm. Joan’s love and compassion for others led her to volunteer at Norwood’s Nursing Home in Huntington, IN for many years.
Joan is survived by her brother, Richard "Dick" (Lena) Haley of Andrews, IN; and niece, Jodi (John) Anson of Andrews, IN. She is preceded in death by her father, Lowell Haley, mother, Hazel Haley, brothers, Louis E. Haley, James Haley and sisters, Irene Haley, Mary Keith.
Honoring Joan’s wishes, there will be a small graveside service in Andrews Riverside Cemetery Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 2:30 pm
