Wanda Jeanette McLaughlin, of Huntington, passed away at 12:35 am Friday, February 3, 2023 at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN.
Wanda was born on September 10, 1929 in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Cecil G. Weaver and Mary A. (Thorpe) Weaver. She graduated from Huntington Township High School with the Class of 1947 and married Wilbur E. McLaughlin on January 4, 1947 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2012. Wanda was a Homemaker and a member of Faith Community Church of God. She was also Past Madam President of the Huntington Eagles Auxiliary #823. Wanda loved to read, watch TV, winter in Kissimmee, Florida, and she enjoyed being involved with her children and grandchildren and their activities. She was a collector of all things butterfly.

Wayne, IN, Adam (Tabbitha) McLaughlin of Huntington, IN, Jack (Labrada) Peters Jr. of Chester, VA; Three Granddaughters, Julie DeLeon of Convoy, OH, Sara (BJ) Lusch of Huntington, IN, Beverly (Ben) Follin of Jefferson, OH; Twenty Great Grandchildren; Four Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister In Law, Maxine Jeanette Weaver of Huntington, IN, Sister In Law, Sharon Stein of Grants Pass, OR; Brother In Law, Gerald "Jerry" McLaughlin of Howe, IN; Daughter In Law, Wrethia McLaughlin of Andrews, IN; Several Nieces and Nephews; and by her large circle of friends that she enjoyed both here and in Florida. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Wilbur E. McLaughlin, Father, Cecil G. Weaver, Mother, Mary A. Weaver, Son, Robert E. McLaughlin, Sister, Maxine Hathaway, Sister, Lela Smith, Sister, Evelyn Atkins, Brother, Robert Watts, Brother, David S. Watts, Sr., and Brother, Paul Weaver.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Friday, February 10, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
