Mildred "Millie" Reifert, 92, of Huntington, passed away at 4:30 pm Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.
Millie was born on January 27, 1931 in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Willson Wright and Margaret (Hartley) Essig. She graduated from Huntington High School with the Class of 1949 and married Robert "Bob" E. Reifert on April 9, 1950 in Huntington, IN. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2005. She retired in 1987 from First Federal Savings and Loan as the Vice President after 19 years of service. Millie enjoyed playing cards with her friends. shopping. traveling, and cooking. She loved jewelry and her trip to Alaska. She cherished Destin, FL where she lived for 15 years.
Survivors include her Son, Michael E. (Cathy) Reifert of Westminster, SC; Two Daughters, Kittie J. (Richard) Keiffer of Huntington, IN, Marta S. (Ed) Barker of Huntington, IN; Seven Grandsons, Cory (Angela) Reifert, Elton Reifert, Graham (Janelle) Reifert, Heath (Stacey) Keiffer, Mason (Jill) Keiffer, Benjamin (Audrey) Barker, Andrew Barker; Two Granddaughters, Heather (James) Wolfe, Danielle (Larry) Hensley; Seventeen Great Grandchildren; Two Great Great Grandchildren; and her beloved Dog, Emma She is preceded in death by her Husband, Robert "Bob" E. Reifert, Father, Willson Wright, and Mother, Margaret Essig, Sister, Sue Glasson, and Two Great Great Grandchildren.
Per Millie's wishes, no Visitation or Services will be held.
