James Anthony “Tony” Scheiber, age 70, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.
Tony was born on March 20, 1952, in Huntington, IN, to the late John G. “Jack” and Dorothy A. (Shriver) Scheiber. He married Mary Ellen Zinsmeister and she preceded him in death.
Tony is survived by one son, James “Jim” Douglas (Stephana) Scheiber, Huntington, IN; two brothers, John G. (Linda) Scheiber, Jr., Dr. William (Sue) Scheiber, both of Huntington, IN; two sisters, Julie Brinkman, Kathryn “Kate” Stuart, both of Huntington, IN; and three grandchildren, Ariah, Sabastian and Reignen.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Nicole Marie Scheiber.
Tony was retired from Wabash Magnetics as a quality control electronics Engineer; and after retirement he enjoyed working at WalMart. He loved to fish, hunt and always enjoyed working on the family farm and loved spending time with his family.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, Indiana 46750, with Rev. Bill Rapp officiating.
