Samuel Mark Kaiser

Samuel Mark Kaiser, 93, of Lafayette, formerly of Huntington, passed away at 4:28 pm Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Creasy Springs Health Campus, Lafayette, IN. 

Samuel was born on February 20, 1930 in Huntington, IN, the son of Jacob Kaiser and Ruth (Vernerder) Kaiser. He graduated from Huntington High School with the Class of 1948. Samuel attended Huntington College, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Manchester College in 1952. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Sergeant during the Korean War. Samuel married Barbara Jane Zeigler on August 3, 1952 in Huntington, IN. He was the owner of Art Chemical Products, Inc. in Huntington from 1954-2004. Samuel enjoyed civic activities and church work. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he was a Lay Leader and a Delegate to the General Conference. Samuel was a Y.M.C.A. Board President, Past Worshipful Master of Amity Lodge 483 in Huntington, member of the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite Valley of Fort Wayne and 33 Degree Mason, was Past President Huntington Kiwanis Club, and was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club in Huntington. 

Survivors include his Wife, Barbara Jane Kaiser of Lafayette, IN; Three Daughters, Ann Elizabeth (William) Zilinski of Knox, IN, Sue Marie (Glenn) Meiser of Lafayette, IN, Sara Ilene Kaiser of Lafayette, IN; Three Grandchildren, Phillip Meiser of Pittsburgh, PA, Lisa (Mitch) Heavilin of Jacksonville, NC, Janel (Tyler Potthoff) Zilinski of Knox, IN; Three Great Grandchildren, Marshall Heavilin, Raegan Heavilin, and Maisey Zilinski. He is preceded in death by his Father, Jacob A. Kaiser, Mother, Ruth I. Kaiser, and Brother, Thomas Dean Kaiser. 

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 3, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Donna Enersen officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington. 

Preferred memorials may be made in memory of Samuel to the Trinity United Methodist Church, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN, 46750.
