Bonita Sue Dennis, age 79, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Community Hospital South, Indianapolis, IN.
Bonita was born on May 2, 1943, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Louis H. and Helen G. (Steele) Abrams. She was preceded in death by two of her husbands, Thomas Bowers and Philip Dennis.
Bonita lived in Huntington many years and had worked at Memcor. She loved her grandkids, playing bingo, watching Tiger Woods play golf and Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
Bonita is survived by three sons, Mark (Teresa) Crews, Steve (Cyndi) Crews, both of Huntington, IN, Darrell Crews, Marion, IN; two daughters, Victoria (Tony) Hammond, Indianapolis, IN, Mary Ann Mooney, Huntington, IN; three step-sons, Robert Bowers, Scott Bowers, Tony Bowers; and one step-daughter, Becky Pfister, all of Huntington, IN. She is also survived by one sister, Sandra Speheger, Bluffton, IN; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Laney Lynch.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, with Pastor Brunk Conley officiating.
Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
