Linda Ann Dorsett, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 1:41 am Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.
Linda was born on April 28, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Eugene Schwarz and Eva (Hummel) Schwarz. She graduated from Northeast High School in Fox Chase Philadelphia PA High School and married the love of her life George M. Dorsett on August 29, 1964, in St. Timothy's Lutheran Church Philadelphia, PA. Linda was a proud mother of 4 boys and loved staying home raising them. She was a member of the Shoaff Park Baptist Church in Fort Wayne
Linda was a devoted Pastor’s wife and faithful Christian. She loved to serve, spread the gospel, and help others in need. Linda enjoyed singing in the church choir and dancing to her favorite songs. She was crafty and some of her hobbies included knitting and crocheting items to give away as gifts. Linda’s passion and love for others was unlimited and her family was one of her biggest blessings.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George M. Dorsett of Fort Wayne, IN; four sons, Darrin (Jill) Dorsett of Huntington, IN, Dwight Dorsett of Huntington, IN, Duane (Erica) Dorsett of Huntington, IN, Darrell (Heather) Dorsett of Huntington, IN; brother, Walter Schwarz, Sr. of Allentown, PA; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Schwarz, mother, Eva Schwarz, and brother, John Schwarz.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Mike Hill officiating.
