Cristy J. Hilty, 38, of Berne, IN, passed away very unexpectedly at his home at 11:00 pm on Wednesday evening, May 10, 2023. He was born to Jerry L. and Laura R. Hilty on November 17, 1984. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was employed by Powerline Equipment.
Surviving are his parents of Berne, 4 brothers: Marlin J., Joas J. (Mandy), Harley J., David J. (Salome) Hilty all of Berne, 2 sisters: Susanna J. Hilty and EllaMae J. (Larry) Schwartz both of Berne, 1 niece A’Rihana Hilty, of Berne, Maternal Grandma Fannie Hilty of Berne, uncles, aunts, and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jake K. and Lydiann Hilty and maternal grandpa Alvin Hilty.
Visitation was at the home, 388 W. 350 S. Berne, on Saturday, May 13, 2023, and Sunday, May 14, 2023, and the funeral was on Monday, May 15, 2023, with Bishop Edwin Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Schwartz Cemetery in Adams County.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva, IN.
