Sylvia Daile Andrews, age 77, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and formerly of Huntington, IN passed away at 5:06 pm on Sunday, April 23, 2023.
Sylvia was born on December 3, 1945, in Hartford City, IN, the daughter of Robert E. and Nellie Rosaleen (Cooper) Lennon. She lived most of her life in Huntington County and graduated from Jefferson Township High School where she was a cheerleader. She was a 10 year 4H member, seamstress, artist, had beautiful handwriting, loved to travel, was fundraising chairperson for Huntington County Baseball, and a hairdresser at Carol’s Hair Care Center for many years before her retirement.
Sylvia loved to scrapbook, going on cruises, spending time with her family every September at her so called “Bash”, and watching her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives.
Survivors include her two sons, Scott Anthony (Jamie) Johnson; Craig Anthony (Kristine) Johnson; two sisters, Cynthia Dianne Lennon; Sarah Jane Lennon; Grandchildren, Garrett Anthony Johnson Friedman, Grant Robert (Ashley) Friedman, Clayton Johnson, Nikkole Johnson, Zachary Geyer, Anthony Johnson, Emily Johnson; Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn Friedman, Koltyn Friedman, Aubre Friedman.
Private services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at later date for immediate family members only.
