Everett "Vic" N. Carney

Everett "Vic" N. Carney, 92, of rural Hartford City, IN, passed away at 3:12 AM on May 28, 2023 at his residence in Hartford City, IN.  He was born on Tuesday, June 10, 1930, in Montpelier, IN.  He married Carolyn (Hock) Carney on Friday, April 27, 1951 in Lewisburg, OH.  Vic attended Upland High school. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean war. He was a well-known resident of Blackford County. Vic was a farmer, sheep shearer, and a representative for Dekalb Seed Corn Company. Vic had been on many missionary trips around the world; some of those including the countries of Haiti and Honduras. He enjoyed fishing, gardening flowers, and loved life and people. Vic had a life well lived.

He will be sadly missed by his Wife - Carolyn (Hock) L. Carney, Hartford City, IN, Daughters - Denise (Carl) Carender, Gas City, IN, Diane (Sam) Brannon, Muncie, IN, Vicki (Dan) Daugherty, Dunkirk, IN, Grandchildren - Doug (Joletta) Carney, FL, Ryan (Amanda) Carney, Munster, IN, Tim (Megan) Carender, Jonesboro, IN, Lindsay (Morrison) Akers, Fortville, IN, Jeremy Brannon, Muncie, IN, Jacey (Ronnie) West, Muncie, IN, Travis Daugherty, Warsaw, IN, Jessica Daugherty, Connersville, IN, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Claude Carney, Mother - Pearl Thelma (Smith) Carney, Son - Michael Carney, Infant Daughter - Deborah Carney, Grandchild - Jordan Carender, Brother - Robert Carney, and Sister-in-law - Audrey Carney.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Friday, June 2, 2023.

A service to celebrate his life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 2, 2023 with Pastor Lloyd Moles and Pastor Mike Weaver officiating.  Interment will take place on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Gardens of Memory in Muncie. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the US Army.
