Barbara Ann Hart, 91 of Marion, was ushered into Heaven to be in God’s Presence forever on May 31, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1932, in Jefferson Township, Huntington County to Ralph “Pete” and Lesta (Smith) Detamore. She married Dean Hart on July 19, 1950, in the Jefferson Center United Methodist Church, Huntington County. They celebrated 71 years of marriage. Dean preceded her in death on December 4, 2021. Barbara was a homemaker and member of the Solid Rock Church of Warren. She graduated in 1950 from Jefferson Township School in Huntington County.
Survivors are son, Jack (Fran) Hart, grandchildren, Maegen (Aaron) Warner, Gretchen (Gerald) Stanley, Peter (Bethany) Hart and Heidi (Andrew) Porterfield. Great Grandchildren, Abby and Lauren Warner, Grant, Grady, Gillian and Gia Stanley, Hunter, Benjamin, Hallee and Sadie Hart, Jax and Jocelyn Porterfield.
Son, Steven (Sue) Hart, granddaughter, Allison Hart
Daughter Susan Jones (Patrick Murphy) Grandsons, Braden (Danielle) Jones, Preston (Carli) Jones, Great Grandchildren, Callahan and Monroe Jones.
Brother, Roger (Margaret) Detamore of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter Linda Kathleen Hart, sister, Doris Rupel, and brother-in-law Joseph Rupel.
A celebration of life service will be held at Solid Rock Church located at 485 Bennett Dr. Warren, IN 46792, on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Visitation will begin at 1pm and last until 2:30pm. A service will begin at 2:30pm with Pastor John Boyanowski officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband in Lancaster Cemetery, rural Huntington County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Solid Rock United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 322, Warren, IN 46792.
