Douglas “Doug” Wayne Crago, 54, of Rensselaer, IN, passed away at 8:05 am Friday, June 9, 2023, at his residence.
Doug was born on October 4, 1968, in Huntington, IN, the son of Paul Crago and Linda (Elzey) Hughes. He graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 1987. He then went on to graduate from Ball State University in 1995. He worked at Adkev Inc. of Goodland, IN, for 14 years of service. Doug was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and enjoyed cigars. He loved playing golf, fantasy football, and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include his Mother, Linda Hughes of Huntington, IN; Son, Landon W. Crago of Albany, IN; Sister, Melissa (Bill) Jackson of Huntington, IN; Brother, Shawn L. (Tina) Crago of North Manchester; Life Partner, Christine Bowman of Rensselaer, IN; and Fur baby, Kahn. Doug was an uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was “Grandpa” to Christine’s grandkids, and a father figure to Christine’s children; Crystal (James), Clarissa, Chase (Ashley), and Chad (Monica). He is preceded in death by his Father, Paul W. Crago.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday June 14, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN, 46750. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday June 15, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Tim Troyer officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
