Daniel Woodrow Forrester, Jr., age 81, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Forrester was born on July 5, 1941, in Banquo, IN, to the late Daniel Woodrow and Mildred (Miller) Forrester, Sr. Daniel married Sally A. Wynbissinger on July 15, 1972, in Bellevue, Ohio, and she survives and lives in Fort Wayne, IN.
Daniel graduated from high school and then from Purdue University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He worked at General Electric for over 27 years in the lighting division. He was a member of the Roanoke Baptist Church.
Along with his wife, Sally, he is survived by two sons, Daniel Woodrow (Rena) Forrester, III, Contoocook, NH, Mark Milligan, Madison, OH; two daughters, Linda (Robert) Poortenga, Gillam Township, IN, Lisa (Larry) Longshore, Arkansas City, KS; one brother, Rick (Marcia) Forrester, Banquo, IN; Christine (Jay) Shanen, Hillsdale, MI; son-in-law, Bill Snyder; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Laurie Ann Snyder; and daughter-in-law, Paula Milligan.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m., at Roanoke Baptist Church, 11015 Lafayette Center Road, Roanoke, IN 46783
A burial will follow at Mt. Etna Cemetery, Mt. Etna, IN.
