LeRoy Douglas Stetzel Jr., 68, of Huntington passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Ottawa County, Ohio.
LeRoy was a 1972 graduate of Huntington North High School. After high school, LeRoy served his country in the United States Army. During his tour of service, LeRoy was stationed in Germany, where he served as an M.P. LeRoy owned and operated Stetzel Roofing, where he worked for 50 years. LeRoy’s favorite hobbies in life involved being on the water. He loved boating and water sports, but most importantly he loved to fish. LeRoy was a family man and was the most loving father and grandpa. He will be sorely missed.
LeRoy was born on October 24, 1954 in Huntington the son of the late LeRoy Sr. and Anna (Garrison) Stetzel.
Survivors include a son: Michael (Sheila) Stetzel of Leo; three daughters: Jennifer Hanson of Huntington, Jodi Stetzel of Huntington, and Julie Stetzel of Huntington; two brothers: Gary Stetzel of Huntington, and Steve (Deb) Stetzel of Fort Wayne; three sisters: Sheila (Carnus) Ratliff of California, Cindy (David) Fairchild of Roanoke, and Dee (Betty) Stetzel of Albion; and seven grandchildren: Ethan Stetzel, Lucas Stetzel, Caitlyn Stetzel, Mya Hanson, Zander Hanson, Jaxon Stetzel, and Jazmyn Stetzel.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 29, from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, Huntington.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday July 29, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. immediately following the visitation at the funeral home.
