Chieko Shinzato Teague, 90 of Marion, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Heritage Pointe of Warren, IN. She was born on November 8, 1932, in Naha, Okinawa, Japan to Jiro and Kama Shinzato. She married Bobby Teague on September 16, 1969. She worked for Levi Strauss and enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Chieko leaves behind a husband, Bobby Teague of Marion, IN, a daughter, Noriko Arakaki, and granddaughter of Okinawa, Japan, step daughters, Kathy (Lowry) Robinson of Marion, Jennifer (Dennis) Howard of Houston, TX, and Robyn (John) Schambers of Marion, IN, and several step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
In honor of Chieko’s wishes, she will be interred at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana, at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home in Van Buren, IN.
