M. Kathron Minnich, 89, of Warren, IN, formerly of Jackson Twp. Wells County, passed away at 1:38 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. She was born on Thursday, May 17, 1934, in Ohio to the late Dorman & Mage (Taylor) Hudson. Kathron was a 1953 graduate of Jefferson School, in Huntington County.
She married Frank W. Minnich on Tuesday, February 7, 1956, in Van Buren, IN; he passed away on July 1, 2007. Kathron worked for over 20 years at Kitco in Bluffton. Some of her fondest memories were watching her boys play ball when they were growing up. She shared the joy and excitement of watching her grandkids and great grandkids play ball as well. She was a member of the Asbury Church in rural Wells County.
After moving to Heritage Pointe from the family farm, Kathron became very close to the girls that looked after her. The care, friendship, and love given by the staff at Heritage Pointe will always remain near and dear to the Minnich family. Words can't thank you all enough for everything that you have done for our family. Thank you!
Survivors include her: son, Don (Wife, Susan) Minnich, Warren, IN, son, Dan Minnich, Poneto, IN, granddaughter, Jessica (Husband, Matt) Zavattaro, Warren, IN, grandson, Nathan (Wife, Amy) Minnich, Warren, IN, great grandchildren, James Foss, Kendal Zavattaro, Jaxson Minnich, sisters, Imogene (Husband, Harold) Williams & Carolyn (Husband, Fred) Solmer, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Willa Dene Schwob.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A service to celebrate Kathron’s life will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mick Veach officiating. Interment will follow beside her husband in the Jones Cemetery in rural Wells County.
