Lowell J. Gordon, 84, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 6:00 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on Monday, April 17, 1939, in Hartford City, IN. He married Johnny Geraldine "Henri" (Hess) Gordon on Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Hartford City, IN. Lowell was a Montpelier High School graduate. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the Grace UM Church, Hartford City. Lowell worked for 3M for 38 1/2 years. He also did maintenance for the Crystal Lake Mobile Home Park in Wauchula, FL. He co-owned L&H Gordon Service Center in Hartford City. Lowell was a former member of the Montpelier Jaycees and was very active with the Montpelier Little League. He was also a member of the Alethia Chapter #206 Order of Eastern Star and the Montpelier Masonic Lodge #600 F&AM.
He will be sadly missed by his Wife - Henri(Hess) Gordon, Hartford City, IN, Daughters - Jeannie (Rod) Myers, Huntington, IN, Sherri Givens, Hammond, WI, Son - Charles D. (Sandra) Gordon, Zeeland, MI, Step Son - William Wallace, Moorseville, IN, Step Daughter - Rachel (Mark) Tucker, Montpelier, IN, Step Son - Clyde (Megan) Wallace, Hartford City, IN, Sister - Betty Hendricks, Hartford City, IN, 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Step Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st Wife - Carolyn J. (Shores) Gordon, Father - James Clinton Gordon, Mother - Myrtle B. (Hiser) Gordon, and Sister - Minnie Johnson.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Masonic service will be at 1:00 PM. A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM with Clyde Wallace officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the US Army.
