Gloria Belle Jackson

Gloria Belle Jackson, 91, of Huntington, passed away at 6:20 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her residence.
Gloria was born on February 28, 1932 in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Kenneth Fruit and Zelma (Leyman) Fruit. She graduated from Clear Creek High School with the Class of 1951. She retired as a Forklift Operator from Majestic after 36 years of service. Gloria enjoyed crocheting, was a master seamstress, loved gardening and all outdoor activities. She never missed sending a card to her family and friends on birthdays and holidays. She collected dishes and antiques and kept busy doing family genealogy. Gloria was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntington.
Survivors include her Daughter, Penny D. (Rex) Mercer of Pendleton, IN; Three Sons, Dave (Brenda) Jackson of Urbana, IN, Nick (Stacey) Jackson of Huntington, IN, Allen (Martha) Jackson of Markle, IN; Brother, Melvin Fruit of Huntington, IN; Seven Grandchildren, Mary Jane (Clayton) Blair, Heather Jackson, Bruce (Sarah) Jackson of Huntington, IN, Sabrina (Kyle) Kominski, Christina (Brian) Lee, Ryan (Lori) Jackson, Jonathan Jackson; Eight Great Grandchildren, Brenton Jackson, Noah Jackson, Gloria Jackson, Timothy Jackson, Gage Lee, Olivia Jackson, Joseph Jackson, and Jemma Jackson. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Bruce Jackson; Long time Companion, Raymond Baker, Father, Kenneth Fruit, Mother, Zelma Fruit, Great Grandchild, Kaylynn Blair, and her Sister, Dorothy.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday, August 21, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Timothy Lorenz officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
