Anthony R McCoy, 40, of Huntington, passed away peacefully at 3:10 pm Thursday, August 10, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones after a long illness.
Anthony was born on August 19, 1982, in Huntington, IN, the son of Billy Ray McCoy and Debra (Fry) DuEllen. He attended Whitko High School in South Whitley and received his GED. Anthony previously worked as a cook for Bob Evan’s and Nick’s Kitchen. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington, IN. Anthony enjoyed hiking, mudding and listening to all genres of music. He was an amazing singer and a member of the choir while in high school. Anthony loved animals, especially his dog Cheyenne. He was caring and had a very kind heart. Although Anthony faced many challenges in life he never complained and always had a positive outlook.
Survivors include his loving grandmother, Beatrice Lawson of Huntington, IN; brother, James (Rachel) McCoy of Marion, IN; half-brother, Dustin Dugger of Palmer, NE; nephew, Samuel McCoy of Marion, IN; niece, Icy Jane McCoy of Marion, IN; aunt, Betty Bozell of Huntington, IN; uncles James (Lulabelle) Little of Columbia City, IN and Richard (Betty) Little of Huntington, IN; father, Billy Ray (Louann) McCoy of Jonesburg, LA; and many friends and caretakers. He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra DuEllen Fry.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Monday, August 14, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will follow Monday, August 14, 2023, at 3:00 pm, with Chaplain Michael Deter officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Riverside Cemetery in Andrews.
