James “Lotton” Maynard

James “Lotton” Maynard, 83, of Fowlerton passed away on Tuesday August 22, 2023 at his home.  Lotton was known as a handyman, a “jack of all trades”, and an extremely hard worker.  Lotton had worked at Leffers Dairy Farm in Gas City, Midwest Foods for several years, and Fleet Engineering in Michigan for 20 plus years, and for Joe Seward.

Lotton was born on September 11, 1939 in Crab Orchard TN, the son of the late Taylor and Rosalee (Bowles) Maynard.

He was united in marriage to the late Mildred Biteley on March 31, 1962 in Valdosta GA.  She preceded him in death on July 25, 2021.

Survivors include two daughters: Karol Teegardin of Fowlerton, and Lorrie Lewis of Fowlerton; four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Four sisters: Sue Madden of Hazard KY, Louise Jenkins of Spring City TN, Nancy Weaver of Crossville TN, and JoAnn Lewis of Crossville TN; three brothers: Junior Maynard of Phillipsburg Missouri, Paul Maynard of Crossville TN, and Sam Maynard of Crossville TN; and a special friend: Betty Stone of Crossville TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, five brothers, one sister, and a grandson: Christopher Clift

There will be no public services at this time.
