
Robert W. “Bob” Myers Sr., passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at DuPont Hospital in Ft. Wayne.
Bob was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on January 8, 1942 and was raised by Ed and Letha Myers. He graduated from Clear Creek High School in Huntington.
He served in the U.S. Army Military Police during the Vietnam War. Bob was Honorably Discharged in 1964.
While working at Bryan Manufacturing in North Manchester, Bob met and fell in love with Madaline Miller. The couple would wed in Virginia on September 21, 1966.
He later worked for Conrail as a supervisor and lastly as a state manager for Ban-Tech Inc. in Ft. Wayne, until his retirement.
Bob was always a jovial, social butterfly and loved to visit with friends and strangers. He was always up for a good time, whether it be eating out or going somewhere. The couple also enjoyed collecting antiques. He attended a former Baptist church in Laketon, Indiana.
Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Madaline, his son Robert (Tamra) W. Myers Jr. and daughter Christy Myers, all of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren Torin, Marissa and Noah; and sisters, Betty, Katie and Sue as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law Garould O’Banion; great-grandson Joshua Myers; and siblings, Jack, Hazel and Mary Catherine.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 10-12 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at noon with Pastor Ron Patrick officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Military Honors.
