Sheryl Ann Hollister

Sheryl Ann Hollister, 64, of Ossian, passed away peacefully in the company of her family at 5:15 am Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at her residence.
Sheryl was born on February 19, 1959, in Ft. Wayne, IN, the daughter of William Burnau and Fern (Brown) Burnau. She graduated from Homestead High School with the class of 1977. Sheryl married the love of her life Russell W. on November 25, 1978, in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was a proud co-owner of Rusty Cat Creation of Ft. Wayne. For a number of years, she was a teacher's aide at Wayne High School for special needs students and a sales representative for Tupperware for several years. Sheryl was a faithful member of the Awakening Community Church of Huntington and an active member of the Quilters Guild of Ossian, IN. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Recovery Café of Ft. Wayne, IN.
Sheryl was extremely artistic and talented in each project she worked on. She was an avid quilter, enjoyed making crafts and was a skilled restorer of furniture. Sheryl loved to work in her garden and always looked forward to canning her harvest. She was a Hoosier fan and never missed an I.U. Basketball game on TV. Her devotion to her Lord and family was undeniable. Sheryl’s love will live on in those she touched.
Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Russell W. Hollister of Ossian, IN; two sons, Brian (Laura) Hollister of Leo, IN, Justin (Joni) Hollister of Greenfield, IN; daughter, Nicol (Ryan) Marsden of Fort Wayne, IN; thirteen grandchildren, Owen, Griffin, Dustin, Taylor, Rory, Nick, Kaylee, Kaitlyn, Sadie, Meara, Isaac, Owen, Matthew; sister, Sue (Mike) Duff of Columbia City, IN; brother, Rick (Beth) Burnau of Fremont, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 2pm at The Awakening Church 235 Safari Trail Huntington, IN. 46750
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers are asked to be given to The Recovery Cafe of Ft. Wayne, IN, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN, 46750 or “The Legacy Project” with The Awakening Church, Huntington, IN.
