
Lois I. Landrum, 72, of North Manchester, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her residence.
Lois was born on December 4, 1950, in Ft. Wayne, IN, the daughter of Lawerence Fritz and Pearl (Ditmars) Fritz. She graduated from Carroll High School with the class of 1969. Lois married Gerald Landrum on September 4, 1971, in Fort Wayne, IN and they were blessed with three children, Laura, Lynnette and David. Lois was a lifetime farmer and worked for Heckman Bindery of North Manchester for 20 years before retiring in 2013. She earned her chaplaincy in the Lutheran Hospital and was a licensed minister through the United Church of Christ. She was a faithful member of New Hope UCC formerly St. John’s UCC of Bippus. Lois was also an active member of Partners in Prayer group and a past member of a Bunco club.
Lois was truly one of a kind, she had the most selfless giving heart. She was an amazing caretaker and never complained. Lois would go without things, making sure others didn’t have to. Her devotion to her Lord was undeniable and she spent many hours a day reading her bible. She was passionate about sharing the message with others and would set up bible studies for those in nursing homes and people that were shut in their own homes. She was known for her angelic singing voice that she used on Sundays to worship. Lois loved spending time with her grandkids, watching sci fi movies, going to their activities, the one-on-one dinner dates, and unplanned trips to the store. Her family was very important to her and their happiness.
Survivors include her two daughters, Laura (Jeff) Williams of Huntington, IN, Lynnette (Adam) Sell of Huntington, IN; son, David (Brandi) Landrum of Huntington, IN; eight grandchildren, Halley, Chase, Mason (Brenna), Grace, Haleigh, Kameron, Kaysin, Kyler; two great-great grandchildren, Henry, Harrison "Ollie"; sister, Jean Fritz of Indianapolis, IN. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Gerald E. Landrum, father, Lawerence Fritz, mother, Pearl Fritz, sisters, Lucille Rodgers, and Maricella Kimmel.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jill Miller officiating. Burial will be in Shock Cemetery at a later date.
