Elaine Kay Langston, 82, of Huntington passed away on Monday August 28, 2023 at her home. Elaine was a 1959 graduate of Huntington High School. She retired from Crestview Middle School as the manager of the cafeteria after 25 plus years of service. Throughout her life, her and her late husband raised competitive show rabbits. Elaine was a current member of the Whitley County Knitting Club and the Retired Teachers Luncheon Group. Elaine will be remembered as a strong outgoing independent woman.
Elaine was born on May 15, 1941 the daughter of the late Oscar and Betty (Custer) Raichart.
She was united in marriage to the late Marvin Langston on February 2, 1963 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2016.
Survivors include a son: Michael (Amy) Langston of Huntington; three grandsons: Collin Langston, Rhitt (Erin Burke) Langston, and Cole Langston;
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother James Raichart.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
