Helen Elizabeth (Ruble) Campbell, 102, went to her Heavenly Home September 11, 2023, from Heritage Pointe, Warren, Indiana.
She was born in Huntington County, on November 10, 1920, to Virgil Ruble and Dora (Murphy) Ruble. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Huntington County. She married the love of her life, John William Campbell, on December 10, 1940. They were married for 55 years before he preceded her in death. John operated the Banquo Garage for 50 years.
She enjoyed caring for her family, canning, and making clothes for her children. Her faith in God was a big part of her life. She faithfully attended church with her family. She taught Sunday School, played the piano and was active in the missionary society. She moved to Heritage Pointe in 1997, where she continued to play the piano for chapel services there. A joy of her life was her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Don Ruble, Lois Dysert, Imagene Ruble, Robert Ruble, Ronald Ruble, grandson, Nathan Brown, granddaughter, Heather Wagoner, and son-in-law, Rocky Breeding. Helen is survived by her brother, Richard Ruble, and her daughters: Bonnie Lou (Leland) Gamson, Yevonne (Kenneth) Brown, Marie Breeding, Gwendolyn (Terry) Wagoner, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, Indiana on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 10:00am-11:00am. A service to celebrate Helen’s life will follow at 11:00am. Burial will take place in the Mt Etna Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Department of Heritage Pointe of Warren.
