Dean Lee Wolf, age 72, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at his residence.
Dean was born on May 28, 1951, in Huntington, IN, to the late Frederick and Violet (Burton) Wolf.
Dean was a 1970 graduate of Huntington County Community High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver and retired from Simpson Elevator. Dean was an avid coon hunter and enjoyed going to horse races. You could also find Dean at county fairs watching young exhibitors with their animals and attending state and national dairy shows.
Dean is survived by one brother, John Wolf, Temperance, MI; three sisters, Mary Lou Wilcox, Urbana, IN, Sharon Kissinger, Edgerton, OH, Shirley Noble, Fishers, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Wolf, Gary Wolf and David Wolf.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at McElhaney Funeral Home – Roanoke Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN, 46783.
A burial with military honors will follow at Union Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
