Josephine Joy Fullhart

Josephine Joy Fullhart, 96, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 6:00 am Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Coventry Meadows, Ft. Wayne, IN. Josephine was born on March 12, 1927 in Huntington, IN, The daughter of Harry Roth and Zora (Bailey) Roth. She graduated from Polk Township High School with the Class of 1945 and married Robert (Bob) E. Fullhart on July 31, 1948 in Huntington, IN. She met Bob on a school bus when he sat down beside her, Then came to the house later when she was 15 to ask her out but her mom said not until she turned 16. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1965.

She was a homemaker and helped out on the family farm. Josephine also worked at Andrews School and later retired from East Allen Schools in 1992. She was an organist and pianist for many years at Pilcher's Chapel where she was a member. Josephine enjoyed crocheting and sewing, and she tried to never miss watching IU Basketball and the Chicago Cubs play. She was a member of the Eastern Star, American Business Woman's Association, Farm Bureau, and The Jolly Dozen Women's Group.

Survivors include her Son, Kell (Dorothy) Fullhart of Fort Wayne, IN; Two Daughters, Rhonda G. (Dennis) White of Fort Wayne, IN, Jane R. Fullhart of Ft. Wayne, IN; Six Grandchildren, Shirley (Mike) Ryan, Bill (Allison) Fullhart, Penny Fullhart (Hans Ausderan), Ian (Kevin) Broad-White, Jon (Kara) Fullhart, Taylor White (Jay Grant); Seven Great Grandchildren, Morgan Ryan, Cameron Fullhart, Jace Ryan, Robert Fullhart, Katrina Fullhart, David Fullhart, and Arthur Fullhart.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Robert (Bob) E. Fullhart, Father, Harry E. Roth, Mother, Zora June Roth, Sister, Marjorie Huntzinger, Brother, Gene Roth, Brother, James J. Roth, and Brother, Richard Roth.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary.

Burial will be in Monument City Cemetery.
