Janifer K. Hadley, 77, of Fort Wayne (formerly of Huntington, IN), passed away peacefully at 8:58 pm Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Janifer was born on August 2, 1946, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of John Grimes and Janice (Brown) Grimes. She attended Huntington High School and then went on to Master Beauty College. Janifer married the love of her life Michael Hadley on April 25, 1964, in Englewood, Co. They shared 44 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 9, 2009. She retired from Sears Automotive in Glenbrook Mall after 10 years of service.
Janifer enjoyed anything Thomas Kincaid, Vera Bradley, and Christmas themed. She spent many hours coloring in adult coloring books, cheering on the NFL teams, and watching golf on TV. Janifer had a very giving heart and loved buying gifts and cooking for others. Her sister Judy was also her best friend, the two of them would take trips down to Brown County and go out on dinner dates. Janifer was devoted to her family, and they were her whole world.
Survivors include her Two Daughters Tammera (Roger Hudspeth) Hadley of Ocala, FL, Tina (Gary Thomas) Hadley of Fort Wayne, IN; Son Ryan Hadley (Sinja Hadley) of Ft. Wayne, IN; Sister Judy Millner of Huntington, IN; Thirteen Grandchildren; and Ten Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Father John W. Grimes, Mother Janice V. Grimes, Husband Michael Hadley, Brother Jerry Grimes, Brother Jimmy D. Grimes, and Grandson Joshua Hadley.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday, September 25, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, September 25, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Albert Brownlee officiating.
