Mark A. Cocklin

Mark A. Cocklin, 65 of Huntington, passed away at his residence on Thursday September 28, 2023.  Mark had worked at Fort Wayne Foundry and Allied/Jack Cooper.  He was a member of the U.A.W. and the Teamsters, as well as the RIVO (Resurrected Iron Vintage Order) Car Club.  Mark loved working on cars, attending car shows, and building models.  It was said that his love for cars rivaled his love for his family jokingly.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing pool, and he was especially famous for his Halloween Bashes.

Mark was born on October 21, 1957 in Wells County, the son of the late Gordon Cocklin and Dollie (Fusselman) Carter.  

He was married to Carol Karst on September 14, 1984.

Survivors include a his wife: Carol Karst of Huntington; three daughters: Chastity (Joshua Bear) Hastings of Bluffton, Heather (Travis) Clark of Huntington, and Christy (Eric) Snyder of Fort Wayne; a son: Heath (Abby) Cocklin of Huntington; four brothers: Monty (Gail) Cocklin of Huntingon, Gordon (Martina) Cocklin of Warren, Raymond Cocklin of Warren, and Hoss (Jamie) Cocklin of Huntington. Sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 3, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel. Located at 415 N. Lee Street, Markle IN 46770.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with one hour of calling prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel. Located at 415 N. Lee Street Markle IN 46770.

Interment will take place at Markle Cemetery
