Jennie Lee Wilson Cox, 81, of Marion, IN, passed away at 9:52 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Marion Health in Marion, IN. She was born on Sunday, September 6, 1942, in Ecorse, MI. She married Larry D. Cox on Saturday, October 15, 1960 at Walker Funeral Home Montpelier, IN; he proceeds her in death on May 23, 2008. She was a school bus driver at Marion Community Schools for many years. Jennie enjoyed camping, fishing, and dancing.
She will be sadly missed by her Sons - Richard A. Cox, Marion, IN, Donald E. Cox, Marion, IN, Sister - Patricia (husband, Jerry) Coleman, Albany, IN, Brother - Bill (wife, Charlene) Dearduff, Jr., WV, Sister - Florence Egly, Trenton, IN, Brother - William Morgan, Montpelier, IN, Sister - Cecile (husband, Danny) Velasquez, Poneto, IN, 7 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband - Larry D. Cox, Father - Cecil W. Wilson, Mother - Olive May (Williams) Morgan, Son - David D. Cox, Daughter - Dawn L. Cox, Sisters - Helen Velasquez, Rose Morgan, Madge Stevenson, Paula Duquette and Charla Morgan.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be at the Estates of Serenity cemetery 2225 S. Lincoln Blvd. Marion, IN. 46953 at 2:30 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2023 with Margaret Ann Kuchcinski officiating. Interment will follow in the Estate of Serenity in Marion.
Arrangements are being handled by Walker & Glancy Funeral Home in Montpelier.
