Stephen Eugene McHenry, 57, of Huntington, passed away at 9:30 am Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his residence.
Stephen was born on August 2, 1966, in Huntington, IN, the son of Verl McHenry and Sylvia (Kirby) McHenry. He graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 1984 and married Penny Holmes on August 26, 2005, in Huntington, IN. He retired from Cline Transfer of Huntington, IN after many years of service. Stephen was passionate about giving back and was a volunteer at the Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana. He loved riding BMX bikes, dirt bike racing, horseback riding, unicycles, and playing foosball.
Survivors include his loving wife, Penny McHenry of Huntington, IN; son, Christopher McHenry of OH; step-son, Jeremy McGuire of Huntington, IN; three step-daughters, Tiffany (Michael) Garrison of Huntington, IN, Michelle McGuire of Huntington, IN, Jennifer McGuire of Ft. Wayne, IN; ten grandchildren; brother, Richard (Debra) McHenry of Huntington, IN; two sisters, Sheryl (Dan Reust) Arnold of Huntington, IN, Tammi Scott of Huntington, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Verl Richard McHenry, and Sylvia McHenry.
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of Stephen will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 815 Evergreen Rd, Huntington, IN 46750.
