Charles B. Henson

Charles B. Henson, 82, of Huntington, passed away peacefully at 4:08 pm Saturday, November 25, 2023 at his residence surrounded by family.
Charles was born on November 11, 1941 in Ligon, KY, the son of Roosevelt Henson and Celie (Bentley) Henson. He married Elzada Newsome on June 13, 1964 in Andrews, IN. He retired from Majestic after 42 years of service where he worked as a Material Handler. Charles was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and Amity Lodge 483. He was always caring for friends, family, and neighbors and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He loved his family, enjoyed carpentry, and was an avid coin collector. Charles was a caring Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother.
Survivors include his Wife, Elzada Henson of Huntington, IN; Daughter, Jody L. Rohrabaugh of Roanoke, IN; Son, Rick B. (Andrea) Henson of Huntington, IN; Four Granddaughters, Valerie (Tommy) Ritter, Hilary (Evan) Rhoades, Emily (Jordan) Moye, Molly Henson; Grandson, Charles R. Henson; Four Great Grandchildren, William, Jacob, and Eliana Ritter, and Landry Rhoades; Brother, Boy (Betty) Henson of River Rouge, MI. He is preceded in death by his Father, Roosevelt Henson, Mother, Celie Henson, Sister, Earlene Little, Sister, Girley Tackett, Sister, Marie Henson, Sister, Ruth Tackett, Sister, Magil Hayden, Sister, Hazel Henson, Brother, Ray Henson, Brother, Grady Henson, Brother, Reevis Henson, and Brother, Reed Henson.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Friday, December 1, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 1, 2023 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Worlie Newsome Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
