Flora “Flo” Doyle

Flora “Flo” Doyle, 97 of Van Buren, Indiana, passed away at Heritage Pointe of Warren on Sunday, November 26, 2023.  

Flo was born on April 22, 1926, in Louisiana, Missouri to William Arthur and Lela Barrier. She lived in Van Buren, Indiana for most of her life and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1944. She married George F. Doyle on June 14, 1946, in Van Buren, Indiana. Flo loved Van Buren and was past president and held most offices in the Van Buren Legion Auxillary #368. She and George received the Gold Life Membership cards from the Van Buren American Legion and Auxillary for exemplary dedication and service. Flo was a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church and served on the church funeral dinner committee. She was also formerly active with the Van Buren popcorn festival committee and a personal historian for the town of Van Buren.  

The family would like to thank all of Flo’s friends over the years for the joy and love they brought to Flo. They would also like to thank all her nurses and friends at Heritage Pointe. You all have a special place in our hearts. 

 Flo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 36 years, George Doyle, and her brother, Bill Arthur. 

Loving survivors include her son, Richard (Pamela) Doyle of Greenwood, IN, grandchildren, Jody Royse of Jacksonville, FL, Dustin (Danielle) Doyle of Bargersville, IN, and Ryan (Teah) Doyle of Schoolcraft, MI, great grandchildren, Tyler (Chelsea) Royse of Bloomfield, CO, Catherine Royse of Jacksonville, FL, Sophia Doyle, Luca Doyle, and Caleb Doyle, all of Bargersville, IN, Greg Doyle of Goshen, IN, and Izabella Doyle of Schoolcraft, MI, and great great grandchildren, Taelynn and Everleigh Doyle. 

Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Van Buren Church of the Vine Fellowship Hall, from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will begin at 1pm with her grandson, Pastor Ryan Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at Van Buren Cemetery.
