Kenneth M Wolfgang, 84, of Van Buren, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at 11:35 a.m. at his residence.

Mr. Wolfgang had lived in Grant County all of his life. He was a 1943 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was a farmer and carpenter until his retirement.

He was born Nov. 14, 1925, in Hancock County to Clarence H. and Amelia Swartz Wolfgang. He married Ruthalene Needler in 1947, and she preceded him in death in 1965. He married Phyllis Stump on Feb. 10, 1968, and she survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Keith (Kris) Wolfgang, of Swayzee; Neil (Becky) Wolfgang and Mark (Jackie) Wolfgang, both of Marion; and Bruce (Jane) Stump, of LaFontaine; four daughters, Diana (George) Parr, of Fort Wayne,; Nancy (Randy) Lee, of Poneto; Christa (Mike) Swagger, of Van Buren; and Lisa Wolfgang, of Bluffton; two sisters, Francis Smith, of Arizona, and Anna Mary Zile, of Anderson; a brother, Don (Mary Jean) Wolfgang, of Hartford City; a sister-in-law, Ruthanna Wolfgang, of Warren; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 11. 2010, at 1 p.m. in Matthews Cemetery, Matthews, with Dr.Tom Mansbarger officiating.
