Charles Albert West Jr., 40, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at 1:20 p.m. at his home.

Mr. West had been employed as a mechanic at Webbers in Marion for seven years. He was previously a self-employed construction worker.

He was born Jan 25, 1970, in Marion. He is survived by his father, Charles B. West, of Geneva, and his mother, Bonnie Nichols, of Huntington.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Samantha J. West, of Huntington; a stepson, Jeremy Hoskins, of Indianapolis; a brother, David D. West, of Huntington; a sister, Jenni Elzey, of Huntington; two half-sisters, Lena Taylor, of Redkey, and Stephanie West, of Churubusco; a stepsister, Tina Rabon, of Geneva; a stepbrother, John Smith, of Geneva; and a grandson, Levi M. West, of Huntington.

An ex-wife, Melissa West, of Huntington, also survives.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.

Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, was in charge of arrangements.
