Gordon D. McQueen, 55, of Marion, IN, and having family members in Markle, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, in Wabash County.
Mr. McQueen had worked as an electrician at General Motors for 33 years and retired in June 2008. He was a member of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education), coached baseball and softball and was a Babe Ruth commissioner.
He was born Feb. 9, 1955, in Hamilton, OH, to Garland and Rosemary Russell McQueen. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn McQueen.
Additional survivors include three sons, Jason McQueen, of Marion; David McQueen, of Jonesboro; and Marcus (Megan) Garcia, of Sweetser; two daughters, Jina (Roger) Link, of Markle, and Kimberly McQueen, of Marion; three sisters, Rita Fillmore, of Florida; Brenda McQueen, of Hamilton, OH; and Vicki (Harry) Keehner, of Middletown, OH; and 10 grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Rev. Brian Lakin will officiate. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
