Douglas Troy Jena, 49, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at 7:18 p.m.

Mr. Jena was a 1979 graduate of Center Grove High School in Greenwood and a 1983 graduate of Indiana State University, with a bachelor's degree in graphic arts management. He was employed as a propane sales representative for North Central Co-op. Mr. Jena was a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church, a member of the Huntington Moose Lodge 837 and a past member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board.

He was born Jan. 26, 1961, in South Bend to John and Phyllis Meller Jena. He was married to Jeanette Vanderspool on May 14, 1983. in Huntington. She survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Christopher R. (Danielle) Jena, of Terre Haute, and Jonathan Jena, of Naperville, IL; a daughter, Stacy D. Jena, of DeKalb, IL; a brother, Tom (Patsy) Jena, of Indianapolis; a sister, Luanne (RJ) Hagee, of Camby; stepparents Vaughn and Kathy Rathbun, of Indianapolis; and his parents-in-law, Ron and Judy Frischman, of Huntington.

Calling is Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN 46750. Calling will also be Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 124 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Richard Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in southern Huntington County.
