Paul B. Wine

Paul B. Wine, 89, of Huntington, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at 11:55 p.m. at the Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Wine was owner of Wine Plumbing & Heating for 25 years and had worked for Lehman Electric and Plumbing for 15 years. He was a 1939 graduate of Huntington Township High School. He was a past Huntington city and county councilman and had served as president of the Huntington County Council. He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving in World War II and was a life member of the VFW. He was member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Huntington.

He was born on March 3, 1920, in Huntington to Miner and Dessie Schafer Wine. He married Imo Jean Gressley on June 1, 1941, in Huntington. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Berdell (Kim) Wine and Kent (Kelly) Wine, both of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Patricia (Cliff) Woods, of Seward, AK, and Darlene (Barney) Massa, of Markle; a brother, Richard Wine, of Huntington;six sisters, Mary Ann Pasko, of Florida; Gracie (Bob) Wisehart, of Knightstown; Elsie (Dean) Reckard, Corlene Flora, Clara (Max) Beck and Janie (Don) Shank, all of Huntington; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 13, 2009, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Dunlop and Rev. Gene Vickery officiating. Interment will take place in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
