Florence E. Jackson, 70, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at 6:15 a.m. at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Jackson had worked as a truck driver for North American in Fort Wayne, Direct Transport in Sioux City, SD and Arctic Express in Ohio. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a volunteer at Needs Inc. in Cheyenne, WY and Huntington Senior Center.
She was born July 23, 1942, in Denver, CO, to Ferris E. and Bertha Beatrice Hurtine Pedersen. Her mother survives in Huntington.
Also surviving are three daughters, Trudy L. (Tracy) Stanley, of Huntington; Deborah D. (Richard) Shell, of Onawa, IA; and Carla A. Wolford Winters, of Shelbyville; four sons, Robert D. Williams, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jim A. Wolford, Tim A. Wolford and Glen D. Biddle II, all of Huntington; a sister, Zena D. Bowers, of Huntington; a brother, Ferris E. "Pete" Pedersen, of Huntington; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or services.
